Rated 5 out of 5 by from A love story There is no end to the joy these headphones bring me every day. I upgraded to an iPhone 7 last year and rather than faff with a clunky audio/charging adapter, I thought I’d treat myself to a set of bluetooth headphones. I had been absolutely chuffed to bits with my wired Y50s, and on the strength of those and a What Hi-Fi 5-star review I took the plunge. So glad I did! Beautifully balanced, natural sound. Don’t think they can be beaten at this price point. The only downsides are the flashing blue light on when you’re in a dark room, and that on my first pair one ear cup became detached from the headband, but I took them back and got an instant replacement from the retailer. I actually recently forked out over 3 times as much for a set of 5-star- rated noise-cancelling over-ears from another well-known company. I should have realised that my sudden need to turn on the EQ was a bad sign. I went back to my AKGs in less than a week. Everyone’s hearing is different I realise. But I honestly cannot tell you how much I love the quality of the sound produced by these headphones.  For what they, to me at least, they are perfect. The drivers have clearly been crafted with a lot of care and attention. These headphones love music, and because of that, I love them. It’s that simple :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best headphones I have owned. These are a great pair of headphones for the asking price. I have previously owned a range of similarly priced sets from Sony, Sennheiser and Astro (my gaming pair of choice). I really feel that the AKG is not only more comfy but delivers better sound quality, it is just a richer sound clearer sound and not so base heavy as the gaming pair. An additional bonus is that the battery life is pretty decent and they feel nice to wear while I am working, some sets start to hurt after an hour or two either on the ear or across the top of the head. I haven't noticed this at all with the AKG's although if you place them poorly on your ears they can be a bit annoying. The only thing I have to add is that I have borrowed a much more expensive pair of Oppo and listened on a pricey pair of Bose and these were both a step up in comfort and sounds quality over my AKG's. If you've got a budget below £150 though I can't speak highly enough of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good sound, quick bluetooth sync I have to say, for the price point the AKG Y50BT are a really good set of cans. Pairs up quickly on bluetooth, sound is really good, not much leakage and the ear sponges are a comfortable fit. Battery lasts for a long time. I use them for my weekly flights. Highly recommend them, well worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Update from last 2 star review I dont know how to update my old review (The 2 star review) got help from my local dealer and he exchange the my defected cable for a new one. so, im writing a new one instead anyway this headphone is great in every aspect. -They didnt advertise it has noise isolation but i cant here what ppl are talking about when i put it on. -sound great and vocal , guitar (i can hear each individual string of guitar sound in some songs) and it also works well for asmr. -and the battery life is really really long I bought it for a month and i've only charged it 5 times There is also a small flaw in the design i wanna point out: -sometime when I fold the headphone. The edge touch each other and bluetooth button gets push and turn on the bluetooth accidentally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AKG Y50BT review I'm a fussy britches and struggle to give top marks for anything unless it is truly deserved - truth be told i'd give these headphones a 4.5 if possible but they are certainly close to perfect! My only gripe is that when folded the ear cans can easily rub together which eventually will lead to marks/scratches, and the folded size isn't particularly compact. Otherwise, the sound quality is superb at the price point - neutral leaning towards warm, and very impressive for a bluetooth connection. Style is on point and comfort levels are high, I regularly wear them for 4-6 hours a day and experience minimal heat build-up. Connection to sources is easy and the battery life is pretty much class leading. My previous headphones of choice were AKG K451s which served me proudly for several years of high usage, and whilst more convenient for carrying around - I am now sold on the wireless feature of the 50BTs and have earned AKG several additional sales through recommendation! I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed in these fine headphones, particularly at this pricepoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headphones! I received these headphones when I pre-orded my S8+ ... I use them almost ever day! I use them while I sit at my desk at work, I use them while I workout, I use them while I do yard work and I use them while I eat green eggs and ham. Honestly though I love these headphones and never thought I would be an over the ear headphone guy but after using these I will not go back. The battery life is remarkable and feel like I am cheating the system because the battery last so long! On to the important thing... Sound.. The sound quality is excellent not top of the line studio quality but for headphones that you can basically use for anything and everything they have fabulous sound. Next set of headphones will most certainly be AKG.

Can these connect to my smart tv?

Asked by: Southernbo
Yes you can, You can either connect it via bluetooth or connect it via Aux. Since most of our bluetooth Headphones are designed more on Music and not video, please do expect latency when playing videos/watching tv. I would suggest using a wired connection for the Y50BT when connecting to the TV.

Hi, my Y50BT's are great but whenever I fold them up to put in a pocket or bag they turn themselves on (left earpiece presses against power button). Any idea how I can stop this from happening?

Asked by: Del52
Hi. Yes, this can happen. You can place a small piece of foam rubber between the two ear pods where the button is. If the size and thickness is right, the ON functíon will not be activated. You can also transport them with one pod folded in, the other pod not folded in. This way, you avoid the issue, but of course the total length will be increased. I hope this helps.

Just bought these and connected to pc. But they would not connect to phone (sony experia Z5). Also. When listening to youtube through them, the sound was awful and tinny until I used the lead supplied. Then the sound was awesome. What should I do?

Asked by: Riguez67
Hi Thank you for your question. We are sorry to hear that you are having problems with your new headphone. You should contact your dealer regarding an exchange since it sounds like there is something wrong with the headphone and it is new.
