Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charging Specification I am very satisfied with this overall. I'm curious about the charger specification. Is there any damage to the battery in the charger specification below? - DC9V 1.67A (or DC5V 2A)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these I purchased these headphones based on the sound qaulity from the headphones which came with my phone, which are ear buds. I figured that the sound quality would be great as well, and they definetly are.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A love story There is no end to the joy these headphones bring me every day. I upgraded to an iPhone 7 last year and rather than faff with a clunky audio/charging adapter, I thought I’d treat myself to a set of bluetooth headphones. I had been absolutely chuffed to bits with my wired Y50s, and on the strength of those and a What Hi-Fi 5-star review I took the plunge. So glad I did! Beautifully balanced, natural sound. Don’t think they can be beaten at this price point. The only downsides are the flashing blue light on when you’re in a dark room, and that on my first pair one ear cup became detached from the headband, but I took them back and got an instant replacement from the retailer. I actually recently forked out over 3 times as much for a set of 5-star- rated noise-cancelling over-ears from another well-known company. I should have realised that my sudden need to turn on the EQ was a bad sign. I went back to my AKGs in less than a week. Everyone’s hearing is different I realise. But I honestly cannot tell you how much I love the quality of the sound produced by these headphones.  For what they, to me at least, they are perfect. The drivers have clearly been crafted with a lot of care and attention. These headphones love music, and because of that, I love them. It’s that simple :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best headphones I have owned. These are a great pair of headphones for the asking price. I have previously owned a range of similarly priced sets from Sony, Sennheiser and Astro (my gaming pair of choice). I really feel that the AKG is not only more comfy but delivers better sound quality, it is just a richer sound clearer sound and not so base heavy as the gaming pair. An additional bonus is that the battery life is pretty decent and they feel nice to wear while I am working, some sets start to hurt after an hour or two either on the ear or across the top of the head. I haven't noticed this at all with the AKG's although if you place them poorly on your ears they can be a bit annoying. The only thing I have to add is that I have borrowed a much more expensive pair of Oppo and listened on a pricey pair of Bose and these were both a step up in comfort and sounds quality over my AKG's. If you've got a budget below £150 though I can't speak highly enough of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent and not too expensive Great sound, easy to use. Good price at Costco. But a bit heavy. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good sound, quick bluetooth sync I have to say, for the price point the AKG Y50BT are a really good set of cans. Pairs up quickly on bluetooth, sound is really good, not much leakage and the ear sponges are a comfortable fit. Battery lasts for a long time. I use them for my weekly flights. Highly recommend them, well worth it.

I have got these headphone, I just have 1 question which I can't find the answer to anywhere. How do I know when the headphones are fully charged?

Asked by: Yosty
Hi. When you connect the charging cable, the red LED lights up. When charging is complete, this LED goes out again, so no light is shown. I shall add an FAQ stating this fact. I am sorry that this does not appear in the owner's manual.

My headphones have stopped turning on. When I plug them in the red LED comes on for no more than a minute but when I try and turn them on  I thing happens. I’ve tried to leave them over night on charge but still nothing

Is there a way to stop the 'beeping' sound when the charge gets to 30%? I appreciate them telling me that they are low but it beeps every 30 seconds and this is annoying with so much charge left.

Asked by: TW1993
Hi, and thank you for supporting AKG! Unfortunately, what you want to do is not possible. Of course this sound is created in the circuits of the headphone, and it may be possible to modify these circuits to stop the sound, but we have no info about how this may be accomplished. Sorry not to be able to help you.

What is the default pin for pairing? I haven't been asked for one previously but since installing a new dongle I now can't connect them to my PC.

Asked by: ChrisDunn
Hi, None of our Bluetooth products have a pin associated to them. This is probably related to the drivers installed on your computer by Windows. Please make sure you have the manufacturer's drivers installed on your computer for the dongle. Windows usually uses the code 0000, but if that doesn't work, you will need to ask Microsoft of the manufacturer of your dongle for assistance

I've seen it mentioned everywhere and on reviews that this Y50BT supports aptX. Why is it nowhere in the documentation?

Asked by: clarabelle
There are some specifications that are not included in the specs sheet. Rest assured that the Y50BT does support aptX.

The headphones are great but I have lost the right earpad and cannot find original replacement spares. There seem to be generic ones for around £10 on various sites - does anyone know if these are the same quality as the originals?

Asked by: Sam22
Hi Sam, Thank you for your question. It is hard to tell whether they are the same quality or will fit the headphones. I use the headphones for conference calls and people complain they can't hear me unless I turn the volume up to the extent that the sound hurts my ears. Is there a way to separately adjust the microphone volume and the listening volume?

Asked by: ellenbee
The microphone and listening volume is usually adjusted on the phone itself, and this varies on the model of the phone if it has this feature. I see that you're in England. We would like to work with you directly to help you with your issue. Please submit a case request at https://uk.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service Team will be more than happy to assist you.

Hi. There is no muting function for the microphone, sorry. But of course it is only open as long as phone calls are in progress.
