Together with dual foam cushions and ear cup mounted controls for auto-calibration, TruNote allows precision sound reproduction.

It allows bass and treble adjustments without any sound distortion, for true personalized sound - developed with inputs from Grammy winner Quincy Jones.

Audio customization options that include “Standard”, “2.1 Studio” and “5.1 Surround Sound”

Dual density ear cushions aid in significantly reducing the reflections inside the acoustic chamber while dual rotary controls on ear cup enable easy access to volume control, bass and treble levels and sound imaging.

USB connection provides full HD audio playback, software updates and rapid charging.

The built-in DAC enables hi-res digital audio tracks on a PC or an Android device to be directly connected through the micro-USB port of the headphone, so that no digital/analog/digital conversion is needed, which means no quality loss.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but can be better. Waited almost a year to get my hands on these. The sound coming from these are crystal clear. I can even discern what people is saying in the background from the music. NC is better than the JBL Elite 700. The ear cups seals out most of the sound from leaching out. Less pressure on the head compared to the JBL Elite 700. DSP and EQ is too minute that it feels like nothing really changed on the music. It falls short compared to the AKG K3003i in sound envelopment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good (but not "reference")sound, Bad documentation I have them ca 3 months already. Using them always with the intergrated DAC, with an android phone. - The sound is generally very good but still not "reference" class. I happen to have already "reference" class headphones and the sound of n90q is one step lower. But still, very good! - The documentation is a disaster that you don't expect from a hi-end product: All you get is a 3-paged multilanguage "quick start guide" (you can download it from this webpage too). That's it! What exactly the filters do, what exactly the 3 modes do etc... no idea! Even Googling doesn't help, since this is a new model. - The internal sound canceling and DAC applications need to "mature" a little. I still find some bugs, have to reboot the phones ca once every week because of issues. I really look forward to firmware updates! - Value for money: Hmm, not so good. For this money you can get a real reference class phone. But if you are an audiophile, wanting to use it on the go, it's not easy to find a better all-in-one compromise package (very good sound, good noise canceling, ok DAC). Just check your exact needs before buying. And check if AKG has begun to provide after-buy service (documentation, firm updates), which is not the case up to now. - I travel a lot (plane/train) and now I cannot think of traveling without these phones. They are bulky enough though, so that you cannot really wear them while walking down the street. I hope my review helps you!
