Y50BT is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from After reading several professional reviews stating that this is the best set of headphones in its class at this price point, I purchased this pair of headsets as a gift for my 27 yr. old nephew who is in computer networking and somewhat of a techie. He said that the headphones are great sounding and very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You won't regret this purchase. Would buy again and again. Exceptional sound and battery life. Deep, accurate base. Very detailed throughout the range. They don't get hot on my ears like my over-ear Sennheisers. Comfortable, but a little heavy if you're on the move. Like if I stand up and they're not centered, they'll slide off my head. Sound does transfer when taking steps too, may be the seal to my ear giving. Instant pairing is nice but occasionally it doesn't pick up and I have to go into my phone settings. Sometimes it picks up when they're in my work bag and I have to turn Bluetooth to severe connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Got these for Christmas just past, and they are without shadow of doubt, the BEST headphones I've ever had. The build quality, sound quality, ease of use... I coupled these with my Oneplus 2 phone with a maxxaudio equaliser, and they're simply brilliant. 10/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value and then some ... by far! I bought these headphones after listening to a demo set in Korea while on vacation. They were at a high end resort in a high end shop. The sound was absolutely incredible for a bluetooth set. I was afraid that these would cost a fortune though. The fit is comfortable. The design blocks out just enough noise to make them very pleasant. The sound quality it superb especially given the price. You will not find another set of headphones with this quality at this price. I would argue that you won't find a set this good at double the price. The battery lasted me about 18 hours. Seriously, do you really need it to last longer? But, there is more ... the awesome thing is you can use the supplied cable to wire these directly to your device should your battery die. Really though, who listens to music or whatever for more than 20 hours straight? Bottom line is buy these and you will not be sorry. I am very picky when it comes to sound quality and even more picky when it comes to value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally amazing sounding bluetooth headphones! I had tried many pairs of bluetooth headphones prior to getting the Y50's and every time i listened to them it was such a compromise in sound quality just to have the bluetooth feature. When i tried the Y50's i was shocked that it was really bluetooth as all my other experiences were so poor. I am an audio engineer so i am very aware of what my music should sound like and the Y50's nailed the perfect tonal balance and audio quality. It seems like they are using the latest bluetooth specs and codecs so that what I'm hearing back is excellent with no artifacts. Battery life is great too. No downsides so far....... Only wish they came out a few years ago

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spoil your ears! These are simply one of the best things you will ever listen to. They will definitely spoil your ears to the point where loudspeakers will sound sub standard unless you invest in a really high end system. These are able to handle absolutely any type of music with finesse and class. The WhatHiFi 5 star review is definitely justified!

I bought the C50 BT today and I came home and plugged them into my I Mac computer and the red light on constantly. I came back ten minutes later and there was no red light. Is there something wrong with how I'm charging them or something wrong with them.

Asked by: Justin321
What you are experiencing is normal. If the red light indicator is flashing, it means that it is low on battery. If you plug it to your computer, it will then have a solid red light meaning that it’s charging. The red blinking light will turn off once the C50BT is fully charged.

Can you recommend a suitable case for these earphones. The bag they come with is OK but they need better protection

Asked by: Dom Mellonie
Hi...I would also like an answer to this question. The OEM supplied case won't protect these awesome headphones from the rigours of the daily commute. Thanks.

My computer (Macbook pro) can find drivers to install for bluetooth for these headphones (C50BT) but but windows (running windows on windows bootcamp on macbook) can't. Can you please fix this or tell me how to fix it? Also, I am unable to pair to PS4.

Asked by: Jonotron
The C50BT does not require any specific drivers. It utilizes the standard Bluetooth Stereo Audio drivers available in most laptops. There are two different Bluetooth protocols, one for Headset Audio used for talking on the telephone, and the other for high quality stereo audio listening. Being that the C50BT is a headphone; your computer must connect to the C50BT using the headphone protocol which is HSP and HFP Bluetooth Profiles. Your best bet is to go into your control panel and find the Bluetooth setup. This setup usually provides a setup wizard and will take you through the steps to install the drivers needed for Stereo Audio. For the PS4, unfortunately, they have their own standards and you would need to request assistance from its manufacturer for connecting the C50BT to it.

Can you stream from a Yamaha CRX N470D to the Y50BT. The Yamaha does have Bluetooth output.

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi. We cannot know how other manufacturers build their products. Our headphones are built to work with A2DP Bluetooth audio streaming, which is fairly standard. If the Yamaha supports this format, it should work. If not, you will get no sound.
